Found what looks like an almost new red squarebill today. Can’t see any brand or model markings. Was connected to a swivel snap and about 50 yards of either mono or fluorocarbon line. If the owner wants to claim it give me a ring or text at (612) 875-9696. -Chris

Caught a couple of these the other day - assuming these are Redear Sunfish??

Mostly 8-11 feet of water, 3/16 oz drop-shot seems to get there just about right...

Here is a side and down image of the many rock spines around the perimeter of the lake in mostly 8-18 feet of water. The post-spawn bass are starting to move out to this structure now, caught 20+ fish today on drop-shots in/around the rocks.

20.5 incher on the big lake today. Hard for this Yankee to wrap his head around the fact that it’s only January and this female may be spawned out already!

Yes, 8 lb test on a medium light spinning rod - and NO NET! I got to barrel roll the fish into the boat (Yes, I took a much needed shower afterwards!).
