Hello Quarry! Fishing in NY has been great. Here's a pic I took of my friend Steve with a 32 inch slot fish. Notice the bunker in her mouth. Our regs are 28-39 inch are keepers, and the rest of the fish we caught were all over. This is in the Long Island sound.

I haven't caught any but I've seen them in there. I have also seen 2 different photos of people posing with them. With the explosive of the invasive species in the lakes, we should consider stocking them.

I know it looks like 5.38 but it's 9.38. The fish was 26-inches long and fat. No chance it was 5.38. Check out the attached weight length estimator.

So Bill Davidson pressured me into fishing yesterday 😀 and I'm glad he did. After about an hour or so Bill hooks into a beauty and soon after he scooped out this fish of a lifetime! Congrats Bill! I will never forget the image of you grabbing that fish like a loaf of bread.

None that I know of. I’ll be headed north next week. There are a few guys that I know have interest. You might want to Post it here to see if you can put one together. I’d try for June when the red snapper season opens. That way you can do both.
